Dear Band or Choir Parents
It’s Concert Time!!We have gotten to that time of the year. It is time for our first concert of the year. The junior high band and choir will be part of this year’s Fall Concert on the evening of Oct. 25. All 7th and 8th grade band and choir members must be present for this concert.
Students need to be in the high school music room by 7:00pm. Our performance will begin at 7:30pm, and should run approximately one hour. So please make plans to allow your child to stay for the entire concert. Music students should be dressed up in “dress-to-impress” clothes as this is a formal performance. The following points should be observed:
- · No blue jeans
- · No flip-flops
- · No khaki shorts
- · Dress pants, dress shoes a nice polo or button-down shirt is preferred
- · Girls are not permitted to wear heeled shoes more than one inch high
- · Girls may wear skirts, dresses or pants outfits, but they may not wear skirts or dresses that are too short or tight. (students should be able to move freely up and down risers)
For parents with younger children, we ask that you please help our performers and other audience members by making sure your children do not roam freely during the performance. Thanks for all your help in getting our young musicians ready to go for this first concert of the year! If you have any questions, please call me at 701-343-2366.
Thank you,
Paul Redding
