Tell Us About Your Trip!!!

Students, I'm sure you'll hear it a thousand times after you get back home, but this is your chance to tell the rest of us about your trip to Chicago. We want to hear about the great experiences you had with your friends, tell us about "bus adventures". Tell us about the Blue Man Group and Million Dollar Quartet. How about the food.

This is your chance to sound off about the trip and tell others what they missed. Respond to comments below.

Thanks for being such a great group to travel with. You are Larimore's Finest!

How often does a person get to work with the finest young people in their town, get a good taste of excellence in performance, and see the hopeful possibilities of the next generation of doctors, lawyers, musicians, and family members? I get to do it every school day of the year! Thanks for a great trip to Chicago!

Chicago was everything and nothing I anticipated. I've been to big cities before --the people and noises were not unexpected-- but it seemed that the culture and life of the city ran much deeper. Everyone was swept up in its atmosphere and its style and behavior wore off on all of us. I didn't realize until when I got home how much I had truly learned and experienced. Unforgettable fo sho.

Your group was a breath of fresh air to a road worn Tour Manager. Your Director, Students, and Chaperones we're nothing but the best! Everyone brought great positive attitudes and a smile each day, which made my job that much easier. I Definitely made some memories on this trip. Most notably Million Dollar Quartet, Trying to figure out how to get into the building at CRC, Walking in a cloud (Willis Tower), and Capt Destiny's march of glory to the bus on saturday morning :)
I hope that everyone made it home safe...
You have alot to be proud of and I cannot wait to work with the Students, Chaperones and Paul "Capt Destiny" Redding again!

Best Regards,

Chicago was amazing!
My favorite part, as a preformer, was the blue man group and Million dollar quartet. They were realy inspiring and i even ended up looking up Jerry Lee Lewis when i got home.
Surprizingly the bus ride was one of the most enjoyable. I realy am happy that i got to go with the group i did. They are all awesome people and my friends for life =).
The hotel, the sights, the food, the sounds, all amazing in thier own way. and i did quite enjoy the sleep number beds!
I would change nothing about this trip, it was simply amazing.
Thank you for all who organized this and gave us the oppertunity.
Im gonna realy miss times like this.

Chicago was amazing! I love the small town and country life, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I really liked the big city itself, and how different it was from ND. Everything we did I enjoyed, and hopefully I'll return there someday.

Chicago was worth the 3 years of fundraising. Mainly the entire time I was either taking pictures of the ginormous buildings, or looking straight up at them. That's what was amazing to me. Also seeing Blue Man Group and the Million Dollar Quartet was outstanding. It was tiring, but worth every second. Being sick while on this trip was a little saddenning, but it didn't ruin my trip

I didn't know what to expect of Chicago. It was the biggest city I had ever been in and I was actually kind of scared. I relize now that I had nothing to worry about. I would for sure go back again if I had the chance. my favorite memory of the whole trip would probably be Blue Man Group or Ed Debevics. The bus rides were really LONG but they were actually kind of fun at the same time. I wish I could go again with the same group. i probably wouldn't change anything that happened. Thanks to everyone for making this trip enjoyable!

I miss Shanty Town already. :)

Going to Chicago this time was much more fun and it will be a memory I will carry with me forever!

By the way, I really miss DJ. We should go on another trip...either NYC or the Sun.

P.S. Seniors rock! (When we want to...)

Big cities never cease to amaze me. I love the fast pace of the city life, the old buildings, and the amazing art throughout Chicago. I would have to say that the huge bean sculpture was the best part. haha not, but it was pretty cool. Being on the bus with everyone and just talking and hanging out was probably the best part, just because I got to catch up with some classmates I don't get to talk with much. Also, the Art Institute of Chicago was awesome and I wish we could have had more time there. The Million Dollar Quartet was a fantastic show, although a lot of our group didn't know a think about Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis-they'd just heard about Elvis. I am glad we could educate them on the classic stylings of some great musicians(haha) :) Chicago is a wonderful city, full of adventure, I am glad I could share this experience with my friends, classmates, and some great chaperones.
