State Music Festival Results

Students from Larimore high school participated in the 2009 State Music Festival this past weekend in Minot. Students from all over the state met on the campus of Minot State University to present their solos and small ensembles to their peers and adjudicators.

Each performance is rated based their execution of several aspects of musical performance, including pitch and rhythmic accuracy, stage presence, tone, among others. There are four ratings possible: 3-Fair performance, 2-Good Performance, 1-Excellent performance, STAR- Superior performance. The following are the results for LHS student groups:

Mixed Brass Ensemble 7-12 (Andrew Berge, Neil Iverson, Sean McCoy, Chris Arvin, Daniel Quinn, Jeremiah Veerkamp, Todd Elfman, Matt Voigt, Chris McDonald): Petite Concertante- 1

Flute Ensemble 2-3(Dana Hutzol, Alyssa Jacobson): Two Minuettes- STAR

Girls' Vocal Ensemble 4-6 (Liz Beck, Jessica Georgeson, Heidi Trosen, Ana Halligan): Deo Dicamus Gratias- 2

Mixed Vocal Ensemble 4-6 (Alyssa Wiegandt, Liz Beck, Stef Johnston, Andrew Berge, Sean Hutzol, Rick Stevens): Domine Deus- STAR

Percussion Ensemble 4-6 (Nick Tretter, Jessica Georgeson, Caleb Behm, Sean Hutzol, Daniel Landman, Derrick Parsons): Kaleidoscope- 1
